Ralph Lauren is not just a genius businessman, fashion designer icon, and visionary, but one of the biggest vintage car collectors in the world.

His cars have been on display all over the map in some of the most prestigious venues. On Sunday May 26, 2013, Ralph Lauren was the recipient of one of  the most coveted trophies of the eminent competition in the domain of classic automobiles, “Best of Show” prize in Como Italy. He received this prize for his Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupé with a coachwork from Jean Bugatti built in 1938.

As the recipient of this incredibly prestigous award, Ralph Lauren was presented by the CEO of A Lange & Sohne,  William Schmidt,  a Lange 1 Time Zone in White Gold. According to William Schmidt,  “The LANGE 1 TIME ZONE is a fitting prize for the most beautiful sculpture on wheels”.

This one of a kind piece is distinctive from the regular A Lange & Sohne Time Zone production piece in white gold in that, the caseback of the white-gold watch displays the hand-engraved coat of arms of the Concorso d’Eleganza. On the city ring which rotates, Como represents Central European Time – marking the event while paying homage to the venue.
